We are a medical device start up changing lives one person at a time. In this new role, the Quality Assurance Engineer, you will serve as the liaison between companies and suppliers. This is an onsite role, based out of our office in Huntington Beach, CA. As well as, writing and updating procedures to ensure the quality system is compliant with FDA regulations. We are manufacturing an implantable, artificial heart, come beat with us!
What You Will Be Doing - Develop new and refine existing quality policies using a Continuous Improvement Model
- Develop, implement a quality management system (ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, MDR 2017/745)
- Support QA activities for the development and regulation submission of class III medical devices
- Establish QA practices that support the ongoing R&D activities
- Conduct QA tasks for development, risk assessments
- Maintain and prepare technical files and documents for FDA and EU
- Manage staff and suppliers to abide by QA policies and plans
- Lead implementation and development of company's QMS, good manufacturing practice and laboratory practice
What You Need for this Position - Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree (Software, Industrial, Process, Production, etc.)
- PhD or Masters Degree highly desirable
- Certification in Quality, Six Sigma, etc. highly desirable
- Must have:
- Start-up experience
- Class III Medical Devices experience
- Work on site
