SUMMARY

Responsible to the Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance Auditor monitors the quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following, but not limited to:

  • Participates in the companies Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with the responsibilities detailed in the Safety Management System Manual.
  • Performs technical audits to ensure the CASS is implemented, proactive, adapts to regulatory and company changes, and meets the internal and external required monitoring, ensuring the performance and effectiveness of the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP).
  • Will accomplish on-site audits in support of the Ground De-Ice, Anti Ice Program, and fuel vendors to evaluate for adequacy, compliance, efficiency, and safety.
  • CASS Auditors shall be responsible for the planning, preparation, and conduct of compliance audits, inspections, and surveillance activities both internal and external. The Auditor will be responsible for the follow-up, and verification of compliance to audit findings.
  • Generate detailed Audit Reports identifying deficient areas and documenting objective evidence of the discrepancy.
  • Collects information to support CASS investigation and analysis as required from database queries and reports, supplementary data from internal/external databases, and surveillance activities.
  • Conduct follow-up and compliance audits to ensure process improvement, and corrective action, and/or preventative action implementation and effectiveness.
  • Assists in maintaining and updating the Amerijet Approved Vendors List.

QUALIFICATIONS



EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:

  • Five years (5) of commercial aviation background and High School Diploma, with a technical degree preferred.
  • Possess a current and valid FAA Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings, or equivalent experience.
  • Quality Auditor Certification or equivalent experience is a plus
  • A&P License Preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a valid passport as extensive domestic and international travel may be required.



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Extensive knowledge of and understanding of 14 CFR 145 Certificated Repair Station (CRS).
  • Must possess a working knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations
  • (14 CFR’s), and Amerijet Internationals approved/accepted, as applicable, manuals and the Operations Specifications.
  • Applicable to the operator’s program, to ensure they are familiar with the inspection and maintenance procedures, technical documents, and aircraft systems.
  • Must be able to understand and use FAA guidance material, and interpret the answers and data they see, as well as evaluate facilities, equipment, and processes they observe.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance record-keeping (AD’s, SB’s, STC’s, log pages, etc.).


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with a 14 CFR Part 121 CASS program for at least 3 years.
  • Should have enough maintenance background in large transport category turbine aircraft
  • Be able to demonstrate technical experience as an auditor with a 121 CASS program, or an accredited audit system such as ISO, JAA QMS, C.A.S.E., or other FAA-approved audit systems and sub-contractor activities.


SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.


TRAVEL

This role requires frequent domestic and international travel.
