Job Description

Purchasing Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Generate, track and report on all purchase orders

• Educate hiring managers and vendors on company Purchase Order Policy

• Code received invoices from vendors and for processing

• Field all issues and questions regarding invoices and payment

• Analyze month end expenses for accuracy

• Perform month end analysis and reconciliations as well as preparation of accruals when needed

• Ensure depreciation accuracy by monitoring when assets are placed into service

• Track and ensure timely payment of high priority invoices

• Manage lifecycle of onboarding a new vendor along with fielding all issues vendor may have once onboarded

• Other duties as assigned


    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate would possess

    • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

    • Strong client service orientation. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, troubleshoot issues, and improve internal and external client experience

    • High level of professional curiosity. Ability to learn new techniques and processes for improvements and recommend changes to the manager.

    • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

    • Strong Excel skills and willingness to learn more

    • Ability to analyze data using Excel and other tools is preferred

    • Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

    Basic Minimum Qualifications

    • High School diploma (Associate degree preferred but not required)

    • Minimum 2 years Accounts Payable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Minimum 1 year experience of accounting practices and office procedures is required.

    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of products with a high level of proficiency specifically in Outlook, Word and Excel.

    • Availability work additional hour beyond the standard workday to resolve emergency inventory issues as needed.

    • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

    Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm,withovertime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lenexa, KSare encouraged to apply.
