What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions is currently seeking a Project Manager in the Water business unit in either our Huntsville or Birmingham Alabama office locations. This role will offer the opportunity to provide project management and business development services on a variety of small, mid, and large-sized, multi-discipline, water and wastewater treatment plant and pipeline projects with an expectation to establish and foster positive client relationships and provide technical leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Business development and project management including developing proposals, providing project design, negotiating contracts, and attending meetings during all phases of the project.
• Acts as primary agent between client and project team coordinating events, leading client meetings & internal project meetings, and delivery of final project to client.
• Time will be spent developing and managing teams spread across our geography, while executing each contract in a way that maintains Barge PM procedures, business goals and objectives, and results in positive client and employee experience.
• Prepares contracts including subcontracts to comply with Barge terms.
• Provides comprehensive Project Management Plans including workload forecasts.
• Leads and facilitates a collaborative work environment and advances initiatives that support a positive workplace culture.
• Ensures Quality Program implementation and execution.
• Reviews project reports and findings and makes modifications to project as needed.
• Provides technical guidance and resolves project problems.
• On occasion may function as a technical lead on projects.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
• Attends various leadership meetings and participates in project management training programs.
• Supports and implements strategic and business planning activities.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
• Minimum of 8+ years' experience and applicable registration as required by discipline.
• Project management knowledge and strong technical credibility, specifically with water and wastewater treatment and conveyance industry.
• Ability to influence and manage stakeholder relationships within and outside Barge.
• Effectively manage collaborative teams with concurrent projects with multiple deadlines.
