Role Overview - Project Manager / "Producer"

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Management role which we internally refer to as a "Producer" to join our business. You will successfully run a range of client accounts, setting up projects and managing them within scope, schedule and cost with clients, the H&P team and suppliers.

You are the central point for client delivery, working in close partnership with account teams and clients, driving best practice, job profitability, strong processes and efficiency, including managing outsourcing relationships with suppliers. You work directly with clients throughout all stages of the project lifecycle to deliver project success using H&P operational and commercial strategies.

You work collaboratively with clients, account teams and external suppliers to continually improve process, tools and resource management and are skilled at refining, driving and implementing efficient processes, systems and ways of running project and accounts.

You operate in a matrix environment and in addition to reporting to a Production Director (PD), you would also have a dotted line into the account team you are embedded within.

We are looking for proactive, positive solutions orientated people who have a determination to drive growth and deliver change for our clients and within H&P. We are open to a variety of professional backgrounds and need someone who can deliver across a broad spectrum of projects.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. If this is not the right range for you, please check out our other opportunities.

This role could be hybrid if located in Chicago or New York, otherwise it can be completed virtually within the US.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Producer you will build positive day-to-day client relationships, anticipating and addressing project needs, and negotiating with clients on costing, timings and deliverables as they change. You play an active role in client meetings, are curious and ask the right questions, knowing when to bring in other members of the team. You will partner with the account team to support new business efforts and be consultative on fit for purpose methodological solutions, supporting excellent client outcomes.
  • You will be knowledgeable about the work we do for our clients, proactively managing living SOWs (including scope, team and deliverables), and keeping all parties aligned to outcomes. You will support financial processes and cost reconciliation, as well as new business activities such as costing. You will champion commercial discipline and operational strategies (using approved vendors, costing benchmarks and efficient ways of working).
  • A Producer at H&P drives seamless project delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle, managing timelines and implementing our Insights Engine best practices and automated tools, often upgrading current processes. You will manage research/fieldwork execution with suppliers & freelancers, anticipating and responding to issues. You will support the offshore delivery team by partnering with them in solution focused, collaborative manner. Producers are curious about ways of working and technology, always seeking ways to drive efficiencies and project optimization.
  • You will be an active contributor • managing the day-to-day running of projects, building strong working relationships with team members and suppliers/vendors. You work effectively with others, value and listen to all POVs, and champion collaboration. You also know when to challenge and/or escalate when commercial or client outcomes are being put at risk.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience in a client facing project management role, managing end to end processes and problem solving effectively. Experience doing so in a primary market research environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills are a must. Able to prioritize and deliver outstanding quality on time
  • Strong relationship building and management skills
  • Highly motivated and driven, with a hunger to learn and grow.
  • Expert critical thinking skills and ability to come to leaders with solutions.
  • Able to travel occasionally as the job requires.
