GENERAL SUMMARY / OVERVIEW

The Artificial Inteligence (AI) Clinical Research Organization (CRO) aims to improve healthcare through the translation of machine learning algorithms to clinically regulated products to be used at the clinical point of care.

Acting under the supervision of the Director, AI CRO, and following established policies and procedures, the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing and coordinating the acquisition, execution and delivery of a portfolio related to AI product validation and clinical implementation.

The AI CRO PM will be working in sophisticated and complex environments, engaging and liaising between clinicians, engineers, scientists, administrative staff and development and validation teams.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing programmatic management to clinical AI product validation and clinical implementation; from project definition, milestone development, execution, data analysis, and reporting, in a way that ensures alignment with MGB AI strategy and commercial responsibilities.

Liasing with multiple teams, stakeholders both internal (technical support, software engineering) and external (MGB clinical staff, AI labs, industry collaborators), as well as other project managers within the organization to aid the progression of projects in a timely and high-quality manner.

Supporting AI validation operations and integration into healthcare IT systems.

Ensuring that project blockers are identified, remedied and learnings to distilled and implemented in order to prevent re-occurrence.

Developing and championing project progress-tracking and reporting tools.

Creating transparency and driving cross team communication among the AI CRO and relevant users.

Supporting the liaison and submissions to governance / compliance boards (e.g., Data Sharing Committee, AI Governance Committee). Plan, manage and over-see requests for AI integration and data sharing triage team, including activities such as:

Management and status reporting tools.

Assembling, maintaining and distributing meeting agendas.

Managing and facilitating team meetings.

Documentation including but not limited to request trackers, case logs, schedules, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, summaries, working session notes, decisions/next steps and action items.

Consistently communicate progress and effectively escalate problems or conflicts as needed to leadership.

Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Standard office environment with local travel to Partners' sites and sites within the Boston area

Some travel ( < 2 weeks/year) may be required

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; quantitative, business or life-science focused is required, advanced degree strongly preferred.

4+ years of working experience in project/program management required, healthcare or life sciences setting preferred.

2+ years of team management (including cross functional teams) preferred.

Training and experience in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, SCRUM, Agile).

Experience in healthcare, clinical trials and exposure to the fields of data science and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) is strongly preferred.

General knowledge of regulatory requirements and GCP.

Experience using project management tracking systems (such as Workfront, Confluence, JIRA, MS Project, etc.) is required.

Professional working experience with Excel and PowerPoint required.

A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements, we are willing to review candidates with strong and competitive backgrounds that have a passion for science and technology.

Knowledge of technologies utilized within radiology informatics solutions including software (RIS, PACS, image viewer and reporting software), databases (SQL), and standards (DICOM) - a strong plus.

Excellent project management skills (ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements).

High attention to detail and understanding of end-to-end processes.

Demonstrated drive and willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Must be capable of contributing within a team, exhibit a high level of initiative, and have an eagerness to learn new technologies.

Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse, cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization including both technical and non-technical personnel.

Ability to effectively conduct meetings, both formal and informal.

Ability to lead and facilitate large working sessions with all levels of staff.

Self-motivated and independent.
