Summary of Duties:

The Project Manager for the Social & Economic Sciences Research Center (SESRC) is responsible for managing all aspects of multiple survey research projects. Duties include client interaction, project planning and specifications, survey questionnaire and materials design, sample management, and survey implementation. The Project Manager ensures project success by effectively communicating with staff about project requirements, monitoring project progress, and managing deadlines. Other duties include data management, data analysis, quality assurance, report writing, and preparing presentation of research results for publication. The Project Manager works collaboratively and independently to develop grant and service center funding proposals as opportunities arise.


Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral science, business or economics discipline and three (3) years of progressively responsible related professional research experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

  • A Master's degree in Social or Behavioral Science, Business, or Economics discipline.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Knowledge and experience with statistical or qualitative analytic software.

  • Knowledge and experience with online survey programming platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree

  • Quantitative and qualitative research experience

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadline.

  • Demonstrated data analysis and programming skills.

  • Demonstrated experience with R and SPSS.

  • Experience with development and/or management of complex surveys, large samples, or sample distribution.

  • Experience with survey sampling for different study designs.

  • Experience in writing interpretive reports.

  • Experience in conducting focus groups.

  • Experience with grant and proposal writing.

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
