Project Manager 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-construction reviews including estimate review and contract documents. Develop purchasing strategies, project flow charts and schedules.
• Ensure subcontractors meet expectations of contract documents.
• Direct and supervise the purchase of major equipment.
• Establish and coordinate overall project schedule.
• Ensure labor, material, subcontractors, and equipment cost control for all projects.
• Ensure accurate completion and updating of all required project reports.
• Maintain client relationships and assist in development of new business.
• Ensure projects are completed per contract documents and schedule.
• Assume responsibility for providing a safe work environment, as well as complying with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
•  Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises one to three employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience.

Experience
Two to five years or more of related work experience required.

Scope
Responsible for the work of others in addition to own work; may supervise some supervisory and/or management-level personnel; exercises control over expenses and generation of revenues; hold partial responsibility for formation of division/department budget; accountable for overall results of division/department.

Guidelines
Utilizes judgment in selecting, interpreting and adapting guidelines. Applies learning to achieve answers in differing situations. Make knowledgeable recommendations that may reflect original thought. May use judgment and ingenuity in interpreting the intent of guidelines that so exist and in developing applications to specific areas.

Physical Demands
Physical demands for this position are heavy. Physical exertion such as long periods of standing; lifting of heavy items (50-75 pounds), walking over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, climbing or similar activities. The work may require specific but common physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.

Work Environment
Standard project site environment that may include machinery, parts and chemicals. May require protective gear.
