Job Description
Led by WNET, the #PBSForTheArts campaign encompasses a variety of programs filmed within the constrictions of COVID built to showcase what happened when COVID hit, how the live arts industry responded, adapted and evolved.

Reporting to the Senior Director of ALL ARTS, the Project Lead will manage a three-person team and oversee all aspects of written, short-form video and static imagery content development for distribution on PBS.org, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube Shorts. The person will also lead collaborative efforts to plan, develop and co-ordinate all aspects of the #PBSForTheArts campaign across production, distribution, social media and audience engagement. The Project Lead will manage, supervise and execute the project, and liaise, as necessary, with various other internal and external departments and project stakeholders, including publicity, production services, finance and legal.

Specific responsibilities include:
* Develop content partnerships with PBS stations, arts venues and artists across the country;
* Establish and maintain the project content calendar;
* Oversee the process of sourcing and editing written, static graphics and short-form video content for distribution on PBS.org, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube Shorts;
* Write and edit arts features for posting on PBS.org;
* Serve as the liaison between all production and non-production areas (such as publicity, outreach, legal and finance);
* Integrate feedback, research, and evaluation into the vision and developmental process for the project;
* Monitor budget and staffing allocations;
* Manage responsibilities for the project, including developing and presenting reports to internal and external stakeholders;
* Supervise Multimedia Producer and Digital Platform Project Specialist, and collaborate with all internal departments to meet timelines, deliverables, benchmarks and content goals;
* Potentially produce and edit social-optimized #PBSForTheArts-branded videos for distribution on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts;
* Potentially produce and edit #PBSForTheArts-branded short-form videos for distribution on PBS.org;
* Additional responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have strong planning and problem-solving skills as well as superior communication (written and verbal), project management and team leadership skills. Additional qualifications include:

* At least five (5) years of experience in digital media and video production and/or television/broadcast as a project manager or director with supervisory responsibility;
* Knowledge of best practices for producing video for distribution on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts;
* Experience writing for websites and/or other publications;
* Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
* Strong knowledge of the arts;
* Proven ability to manage multifaceted projects on aggressive timelines;
* Understanding of budgets and budget management;
* Understanding of video, music and image rights;
* Experience with Media Asset Management systems;
* Proficiency with websites, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube;
* Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and AfterEffects preferred.

Candidates with experience in public media are preferred.
