Job Description Summary

This position will plan, design, organize, and execute Process Innovation projects; This position is responsible for supporting the project team in performing the technical aspects of managing projects by issuing Purchase Orders, change orders, RFI s, submittals, and other related activities. Projects will consist of implementing new technologies (at Lamb Weston or co-manufacturer facilities) developed by the Process Innovation team in coordination with the Innovation team. Other requirements include supporting other team members on research and development style engineering projects.

Job Description

  • Provides leadership in establishing safety of all our associates to World Class Safety and Zero Incidents as the team's first objective.
  • Support and provide Leadership in Quality and Food Safety to achieve goals of Zero Foreign Material.
  • Support the project team in implanting new processing technologies to drive Lamb Weston towards its goal of being the World's #1 Potato Company
  • Fostering a team-based problem-solving methodology.
  • Support the team in providing project and technical support to the plant when required.
  • Demonstrate ability to utilize available application computer programs, including CAD systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate executive maturity through decision making and effective communication with various departments and managers to ensure project team resources are efficiently utilized in maximizing true efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain meeting agendas and minutes
  • Maintain drawings
  • Assist Project Leaders and Product Developers on project planning tasks
  • Keep up-to-date drawings and as-builts.
  • Prepare Scope-Schedule-Budget documents
  • Maintain the project documents
  • Provides the required up-to-date copies of drawings and specifications to contractors
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control: Assists in verifying that all materials installed coincide with the approved submittals.
  • Ensures that the project site and construction activities are being constantly documented in writing and especially in photos.
  • Participates in the job closeout process.
  • Continually monitoring job cost reports by making certain that proper quantities are entered, and cost projections are accurate; also accounts for all possible subcontractor cost impacts to the budget.
  • Understands the logic of a schedule and works with the project team, as requested, to ensure that the detailed schedule is met.
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic & Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree required.
  • Five years' experience in Food Manufacturing.
  • Leadership skills to work as a peer and advisor to other departments.
  • Ability to rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays when required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; Computer applications skills.
