Position: PROJECT ENGINEER

AIR SYSTEMS, INC. (EMCOR) has an opening for a PROJECT ENGINEER in San Jose, CA 95122. Duties include perform thorough review of project documentation holistically for comprehensive understanding; design BMS controls or special systems projects to meet scope of work and budget as defined by contract documents and sales estimate ensuring equipment compatibility; Perform drafting work in Ms Visio or AutoCAD; Calculate and select control valves and actuators, damper actuators, flow meters, transformers/power supplies, and HV AC specific sensors; Provide and complete project documentation including RFI, submittals, tracking logs, MOP, meeting minutes, and important document filing in job folder as necessary; Interpret California Building Energy Efficiency Standards, ASHRAE Guideline 26-2018, The National Electric Code, IEEE Green Book, and Automated Logic technical instructions documents. Bachelor's or its foreign equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Computer Engineering or any rel. engineering field plus 6 months experience in job offered or related HVAC or mechanical/electrical construction occupation and in ALC building automation control systems hardware or software design work experience, in Direct Digital Controls or PLC systems design, development, and commissioning experience, in DDC network protocols, ALC programming, input/output control signal and types, relay logics, circuits, heat transfers, and thermodynamics; 3 months of experience in using MS Office Suite including Visio, MS Windows, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Internet of Things, file structure, basic TCP/IP network structure and in DDC, HVAC systems/operations and electric/electronic circuitry including reading and interpreting construction blueprints, electrical and electronic diagram/schematics, and sequence of operations. 10%-50% domestic short term for job site visits (no overnight travel).
