Position Overview

Program Manager, New Product Development. This position reports to the Director of Program Management and is responsible for managing the development of New Products from concept through factory introduction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cross functional project teams in the development of new Products for SubCom.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Microsoft Project plans for all aspects of product development and product introduction including milestone development and resource allocation.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Manage internal and external resource requirements and expenditures.
  • Update management weekly on status, issues, schedule, budget, and risks through weekly reports.
  • Manage and report R&D Key Performance Indicators on development projects.
  • Support Program Engineering Leaders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; engineering or another technical field preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in New Product Development and/or Project Management required.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word required. Experience with VBA and Power BI preferred.
  • Must have excellent time management and communications skills.
  • Experience in Project Management, Electro-Optical New Product Development, Risk Management, Financial Management, Stakeholder Management, and Undersea Fiber Optic Systems is preferred.
