GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Center for Rare Neurological Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital focuses on single gene disorders where a single gene defect is sufficient to cause disability and suffering. The Center for Rare Neurological Diseases seeks to implement strategies, create partnerships that advance treatments for rare diseases and thereby serve the many unmet needs in the community. The Program Director works collaboratively with other study staff, physician mentors, industry partners, nonprofit advocacy groups, and especially our patients with rare diseases.
Working closely and collaboratively with the Director and Leadership Team of the CRND, the Program Director will be responsible for the creation and development of comprehensive communication plans that ensure that all stakeholders are informed of, connected to, and engaged with the work of the CRND. The incumbent will oversee the implementation and management of the core operational functions of the CRND related to growth, outreach, communication, and collaboration.
Guided by the center's mission and vision, the Program Director will improve upon initiatives already in place, conceive of and drive new opportunities to strengthen internal communications and bring awareness and information to external audiences, all in service of patients and families managing rare disease.
This individual is an experienced strategic thinker, an outstanding project manager, and an accomplished professional who is able to prioritize effectively.
