Products Scheduler

 

Summary:

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and plan production based on labor capacity availability; developing production schedules and labor requirements while working closely with the Production Control Manager and Business Unit Managers / Production Supervisors in order to produce goods in a timely manner by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Creates Master Schedule to establish product sequence and lead time for each operation.
  • Analyzes production capacity in order to determine manpower requirements.
  • Plans production schedules around critical work centers in order to meet lead times based on order sequence.
  • Confers with department supervisor to determine the status of scheduled projects.
  • Expedites operations that have encountered delays to ensure orders ship on time.
  • Attention to details.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Must be competent with areas of Capacity Planning including at least one year of experience of scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prepare production reports for graphical analysis by Management on future load capacities and performance.
  • Ability to cross train in multiple aspects within the Department.
  • Associates Degree from College or University plus six months to one year of related experience and/or training is preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word software.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • A sense of urgency to act and area ownership is required.

 

 

Certificates and Licenses:

APICS Certification Preferred.
