  • Trained to operator multiple or all of the positions below:
    • Band setter: set bands
    • Chuck Cleaner: clean and maintain chucks
    • Fork Out - fork castings out of spin table, weigh castings, hang on casting chain
    • Runner Box: repair and maintain runner boxes, assist in changeovers
    • Labor/Slagger: slag boxes, maintain intermediate ladle
    • MPO: operate table controls, regulate iron and weights, keep table running during production
    • Induction Heater: set band for heating
    • Blast Operator/Inspector Stacker/Rework: measure castings, inspect casting, remove splattered iron from castings, operate HP grinder, place castings on appropriate pallet and tag correctly, measure daily production
    • Fork Truck Operator: drive fork truck, locate product in proper areas of plant, move material and equipment where needed
    • Metallurgical Lab: relieve the lab operator when needed
    • Relief Person 1: take samples from furnace, check temperature of furnaces, slag pour-in, clean trough, pour test bars, add alloys as needed, relieve Induction heater operator / fork truck operator, Melt Pour Operator
    • Relief Person 2: Relieve band setter, chuck cleaner, fork out
  • Operate multiple or all of the following positions: Uncoiler, Shear, Burr Cutter, Butt Welder: weld band ends together on the welder, Rim Roll, Upsetter, Inspector: inspect and measure bands, load position bands in fluxer, inspect bands when flux process is complete, Stacker: stack completed bands to proper pallets, Operate overhead crane to load and unload coiled from truck to storage and machine, TRS, make adjustments to the robot as needed.
  • Monitor / log / record process
  • Assist in changeovers
  • Record coil information, steel lengths and verify band stamp
  • Operate industrial powered equipment
  • Cross-train other employees as required .
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs with assist).
  • Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking.
  • Lift supplies/equipment.
  • Pushes/pulls or moves/ lifts heavy equipment/supplies, with assist depending on weight.
  • Manual dexterity and mobility.
  • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
  • Far Acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more.
  • Near Acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
  • Depth Perception: ability to judge distance and space relationships.
  • Field of Vision: ability to see peripherally.
  • Accommodation: ability to adjust vision to bring objects into focus.
  • Extreme heat exposure when working around spin table or furnace.
  • Temperature Changes: variations in temperature from hot to cold.
  • Noise: sufficient noise to cause distraction or possible hearing loss.
  • Hazards: conditions where there is danger to life, body and/or health.
Will be required to become certified to drive industrial powered equipment (example: fork truck,)
