The Product Technician is responsible for providing Carlisle Architectural Metals technical support to customers, architects, engineers, and contractors as well as providing technical support to the Sales Team. The Product Technician will produce estimates and quotes based on current pricing structure from Carlisle Architectural Metals. This position can be located at our Louisville, KY or Tyler, TX facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

* Perform project plan and specification reviews.
* Process project estimates/quotes.
* Coordinate estimates/quotes with customer and CAM sales staff.
* Coordinate technical efforts with the Technical Director.
* Assist in the setup of project estimating and detailing process.
* Provide technical support for customers and CAM sales staff.
* Establish and manage project plan and spec file storage system process.
* Process project shop drawings per bid documents.
* Compile project Bill of Material (BOM) with shop drawings.
* Update and maintain CAM standard CAD details.

* Ability to read architectural plans and drawings
* Excellent customer service skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Roofing Industry Knowledge, Metal Preferred
* Understanding and comprehension of complex math problems and written/verbal customer demands.
* Ability to make sound decisions under stressful or very time-sensitive situations
* Solid problem-solving skills
* Strong time management and organization skills; detail oriented
* Able to prioritize work and competing tasks and utilizing company resources in an effective manner to meet customer demands.
* Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and communicate effectively with sales and operations teams
* Self-motivated
* Minimum of an Associate's degree in Architectural Design/Drafting or a related technical field.
* Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in the roofing industry, architectural metal sales and/or construction.
* Ability to conduct professional business daily.
* Knowledge of computer systems and previous experience with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite; SAP is desired and AutoCad Experience.
* Solid problem-solving skills.
* Strong time management skills.
* Able to read and comprehend construction documents.
