About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for an Account Manager to join our team. This role is responsible to plan, direct, and coordinate technical and logistic activities for LV Enclosed VFD/Soft Starters/Across The Line Starter Panel Products, and modify existing enclosed panel product line &/or develop specification for the new product line based on the market needs to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth results by guiding the enclosed Panel portfolio of products through the standard Product Lifecycle Management process as well as launch new products to the US market.
  • Collect and deliver product requirements of the US market for LV Enclosed VFD/Soft starter/Across the Line Starter Panel products to Engineering team and work with them in all stage of Product development.
  • Interface with other groups as necessary including; Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Technical Support, Panel Shop & Distribution Partners.
  • Maintain and communicate an Enclosed Panel product roadmap.
  • Thorough technical knowledge of Control panel design, key features, competitive comparison, applications, target markets, and strengths and weaknesses of Enclosed Panel Product compared to major competitors.
  • Must have strong communications skills to effectively communicate with customers, sales reps, application engineers, and other inside support staff.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of market requirements for assigned products and must drive WEG Automation Engineering department to include these requirements in the design of existing or future products.
  • Work with marketing teams to develop and launch product related promotional materials which include catalogs, literature, etc.
  • Develop and maintain sales tools such as competitor comparisons, product configurators, application notes, quoting tools, promotional videos, seminars, webinars, corporate website and others.
  • Develop and maintain materials and programs for training sales teams and customers.
  • Work with WEG�s logistics, manufacturing and finance teams to maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Perform in depth market Study of competitor's products and establish/manage pricing and part numbers for Enclosed Panel product.
  • Meet or Exceed financial goals.
  • Develop industry experience (periodicals, internet research, professional memberships, conference participation, site visits, etc.).
  • Participate in conference calls and/or customer visits with limited outside sales assistance.
  • Get feedback direct from customers with limited help from the outside sales team.
  • Provide technical and commercial training to other departments, field sales & customers as appropriate.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university or university program
    certificate or equivalent related work experience.

Knowledge / training:
  • Demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge of customer needs and market trends with respect to LV Enclosed
  • VFD/Soft Starter/Across the Line Starter panel product category.
  • Experience in product management & marketing.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as UL 508/508A, IEEE 519, NEC & NFPA is required.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, symbols and nomenclature is required.
  • Good understanding of the industry requirements and applications is required.
  • Good understanding of Customers, Channels, and End Users that purchase LV Enclosed Products.
  • Good understanding of marketing trends, understanding of legislation and/or environment changes that can affect the business.
  • Good understanding of competition and their strong/weak points is required.
  • Able to read, speak, understand and compose clear technical dialog in English is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required.

Experience:
  • 3+ years proven experience.
