About the Role

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) will serve as an integral part of the marketing team. The PMM is responsible for translating technical product and software capabilities into engaging marketing messaging, highlighting business benefits along with product features and specifications. The PMM is also responsible for working with Product Managers to develop market positioning and messaging for the Company's portfolio of products with the goal of reaching target audiences for new product launches and helping to build the sales pipeline.

As a market leader our team works in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities for our industry leading brands. We are seeking an experienced communications professional who is passionate about using communications to inform and inspire Mueller Water Products' external audiences and employees about company initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Daily collaboration with Product Management to ensure alignment on product launches and release updates
• Create product launch marketing plan and collateral materials in support of the plan
• Working with Product Management and Senior Marketing leader to develop product launch plans and on-going marketing efforts in support of product lines
• Develop product positioning and messaging, including market value propositions
• Communicate value proposition to sales team and work with Director of Business Development to ensure effective sales enablement as new products are launched
• Collaborate with brand marketing team members to ensure brand alignment and consistency
• As a part of the product launches, create materials to support competitive analysis for product categories
• Develop on-going target marketing, social media and P.R. campaigns to build and support market demand throughout the product lifecycle

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 5 - 7 years product marketing experience.

Education: Bachelor's Degree Required. Bachelor of Arts preferred.

Copywriting: Minimum 5 years direct responsibility for copywriting marketing collateral, digital campaigns and product collateral.

Technology Platforms: Experience with Asana, LeanKit, SalesForce.com and Pardot preferred.

Primary work hours will be Monday through Friday. Work hours will vary based on customer hours. Evening customer meetings may be required during sales travel. This position is salaried exempt and does not qualify for overtime pay.
