Job Description Summary:
At PayPal Financial Products & Experiences (FPX), we develop technologies to allow people and businesses to easily manage their money and finance their everyday purchases. With us, you'll work on the implementing distributed systems powering the world's largest e-commerce and payments websites at a scale few companies can match.

Driven by a desire to create repeatable, efficient, stable technical platforms, the Product Manager 2 - Technical is a customer champion for not only the clients of the platform, but the end users of the products that use the platform. As a core participant in the FPX Platform Product Team, you are vital to the ongoing direction and operations of the platform. You are critical to the evolution of the platform, building excitement about what the user needs, and championing the impact to the user and the company. The product manager will be available for the teams to answer questions, work with developer and architects to address technical challenges, align on priorities, and explain and/or change requirements based on new information. You will also champion large-scale initiatives cross-discipline and work to confirm solutions meet the customer's needs and is measurable against KPIs.

In this role, you'll work alongside the best and the brightest talent in the industry. You need to be dynamic, collaborative, and curious as we improve existing products and build the platform powering the top growth opportunity in PayPal.

Job Description:

  • Manage the FPX platform vendor management lifecycle from Vendor Identification through to ongoing Governance.
  • Responsible for various aspects of the Vendor Governance model which includes but not limited to Relationship, Financial, Contract and Performance Management

  • Responsible for the creation, analysis, maintenance, and reporting of performance measures and related KPIs.
  • Support the Management design and build world-class credit products and solutions for the customers/users of the credit platform.
  • Define and articulate through narratives, presentations, and documentation the ongoing health of Vendor Relationships and Operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Vendor performance and define the expected outcomes
  • Work closely with multi-functional areas across PayPal and different regions, including business and marketing partners, legal, compliance and risk.

  • Work within an agile based environment.
  • Develop and drive continuous improvement activities.
  • Complete Vendor Management Operations tasks and functions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Computer Science
  • Understanding of financial and contract management processes
  • Solid understanding of consumer and business lending products particularly installment-based products is a bonus
  • Understanding of project management and process improvement concepts and processes.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)

  • Ability to work with a wide range of internal and Vendor functions ranging from business experts to developers
  • Delivering high quality platform products that meet customer needs
