Customer Focus: Has an in-depth understanding of customer use cases, leveraging analytics, and other insights to better understand customer needs.

Data-Driven Decision-Making & Analysis: Leverages metrics to track progress on customer needs and ensure that product efforts move those metrics. Is proficient at pulling and accessing data from multiple sources, and manage through data ambiguity, identifying the most important data to consider and set KPIs, priorities and dashboards.

Product Delivery & Development Lifecycle: Has a thorough understanding of the broader product experience, ensuring team is focusing on driving key metrics to deliver customer value. Has a thorough understanding of the company's agile processes.

Strategy & Commercial Acumen: Understands conceptual contributions to a product's P&L including direct and indirect costs, and revenues. Uses data to drive decisions for the product.

Technical Skills: Understands company technology stack at a high level, for the broader product. Is comfortable analyzing data using existing software packages (e.g. Excel, PowerBI, etc.), utilizes or extends the company's platform and underlying technologies to create new product features.

On a daily basis:

  • Work with internal and external customers ensuring they understand the product and its benefits.
  • Analyze data trends and determine product enhancements needed based on data trends.
  • Analyze financial performance of the product and make recommendations to gain improvement.
  • Research product functionality issues and work closely with technology to implement corrections and improvements.
  • Document product enhancements and work closely with technology through planning, development and execution.

Ideal candidate is a quick learner who can operate in a fast paced environment with multiple deliverables. They are curious, diligent and detailed oriented. They can work well in a team environment as well as work independently, work well with internal and external customers, possess a sense of urgency and patience to see work through to completion.

BA/BS, MBA or equivalent preferred

Insurance industry experience preferred but not required.

Advanced Excel required.

Experience in Salesforce, Confluence, Jira and/or PowerBI nice to have.
