Job Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with Category Management, manage communication of the preferred supplier/contract list and preferred buying channels
  • Collaborate with business stakeholder partners to develop and manage the Annual Procurement Plan with a focus on 0-12 months. Develop material & equipment sourcing/ordering strategies, adapting to changes in demand in the market
  • Coordination of SCM resources in P2P execution of material ordering, ensuring optimization of resources and utilization of the appropriate procurement methods (including bidding, contracting, ordering, expediting and related transportation). Understands procurement risks and collaborates with stakeholders to develop/implement mitigation plans
  • Performs procurement of high complexity material, equipment, and services by preparing, submitting, and receiving bids/quotes. Performs commercial evaluation of supplier quotes, lead / participate in bid clarification meetings and supplier negotiations. Conducts Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to support award recommendation
  • In partnership with Category Management performs Supplier Relationship, Performance Management, and development and management of appropriate KPIs
  • Provides localized support in development and deployment of procurement order channel management strategies, procurement best practices and tools
  • Serves as SME on matters related to materials and services procurement and associated tools (SMART, SAP, ERS,)
  • Supports business continuity, partnering with business operations and supplier partners to manage resolution of issues
  • Ensures all internal controls are administered and partners with compliance to manage change
  • Manages associated health, environmental and safety risks for all areas of position


Skills / Qualifications

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years Oil and Gas or procurement experience
  • Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills are required
  • Additional Skills, knowledge and abilities are required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced work environment
  • Understanding of Unconventional Oil and Gas business
  • Familiarity with or experience in procurement for the oil and gas industry â—¦Leadership skills
  • Commodity specific knowledge, including Permian labor market and Onshore Drilling Rigs
