Location: Kansas City, KS
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Process Engineer, ideally with experience in aseptic and sterile packaging environments.

This role will require onsite work in the Kansas City area.

Position Overview:

In this role you will have an opportunity to learn about many different manufacturing technologies as part of the front-line manufacturing support. In this role you will work closely with operations and support functions (e.g. Manufacturing Scientists, Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, Quality and Operations) to deliver quality products, safely, and on-time-in-full to customers.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring plant performance and identifying potential improvements
• Providing leadership and reactive support to production process issues
• Change Control Management oAct as a User Representative for small. projects oHAZOP studies
• Championing Process Safety Management including COMAH and DSEAR oCommissioning and Qualification of equipment & utilities
• Compliance with environmental permits oCompliance with cGMP at all times oRecruitment and mentorship of student process engineers oInvolvement in Secondary loop offline improvement activities (when needed)

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering discipline
• 4-7 years experience working in a cGMP (or other regulated) environment)
• Ability to effectively manage time, including the ability to prioritize, work within assigned deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively to accomplish organizational objectives.
• Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written presentation with employees, contractors, customers and visitors at all levels and roles.
• High level of computer literacy. Including good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
• Experience in coaching and mentoring others to support their development (for Process Engineering role)
