Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

We at Cradlepoint are proud of our world-class SaaS platform. Our Net Cloud Manager (NCM) provides management of millions of geographically distributed devices with massive feature set offerings for Mobile, 5G, and branch solutions with advanced Analytics offerings. With the overwhelming success of our NCM, we now focus on building Private Cellular Network, supporting various deployment and service models from on-prem to cloud, and 4G/5G support catering to all customer needs. Enhancing the private cellular network with integrations of various other offerings of Cradlepoint solutions from Network as Service, Security, and AI Analytics is a further part of our evolution strategy. The qualified engineer would be part of the team that builds private cellular network offerings at scale.

What Will You Do?

• Design and architect microservices that apply to Private Cellular Networks
• Provide technical guidance and architectural recommendations for designing,deploying,and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure SaaS applications
• Champion new and innovative ideas for product development
• Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
• Very hands-on and deliver rock-solid production-ready code with focus on quality
• Natural at writing unit tests and integrating them into CI/CD
• Design high-performant backend services with scalability in mind
• Diagnose complex customer issues and take ownership of issue resolution
• Pleasant to work with and having passion for solving customer problems with a can-do attitude
• Collaborate across multi-site software service teams and provide expertise and best practices
• Work on an iterative and agile software delivery process
• Mentor other engineers and do code reviews

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Fifteen (15+) years of experience developing backend services in distributed and cloud environments
• Bachelor and/or masters in computer science or a related field of study
• Developed and maintained high performant microservices
• Solid grasp of data structures and functional and object-oriented design
• Strong backend programming skills in Python or equivalent is a must
• Experience in Kubernetes or equivalent orchestrator platform and docker is required
• Experience with RESTful services and APIs
• Experience with scaling backend services using caching technologies such as Redis
• Understanding of CI/CD
• Well-versed with scoping efforts and estimating development tasks

Bonus Points:

• Experience in Networking Domain
• Knowledge of networking protocol stacks and application
• Experience with services deployed in multiple cloud-computing environments (AWS, AZURE, or GC)

Compensation and Benefits at Cradlepoint

At Cradlepoint, we know that our people are the key to our success. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package to help with your individual needs and goals.

Your Pay:

The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

• $143,500 - $266,800 / year

Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. This variable pay opportunity is dependent upon the attainment of agreed to goals and objectives as determined by Cradlepoint's Senior Leadership team. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

For California employees, we offer a subsidized HMO option through Kaiser. Cradlepoint also offers subsidized dental and vision coverage.

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Cradlepoint's 401(k) plan has a 4% company match and immediate vesting. Employees will also receive company-paid employee basic life and AD&D insurance and company-paid disability benefits.

Your Time:

Your work-life balance is important to us. Cradlepoint provides generous paid time off, including: 15 days of Flexible Time Off (FTO), four paid quarterly well-being days, and 11 paid annual holidays (includes nine company holidays and up to two floating holidays). Please note that an employee's FTO balance and floating holidays may be prorated in the first year, based on start date. Cradlepoint also offers paid maternity-leave benefits and six weeks 100% paid family leave for all employees.
