Johnson Controls is currently recruiting for an experienced Pricing Analyst to join our Navy Systems team. In this role you will lead and/or support the development of the cost volume for various proposals to prime contractors and the U.S. Government. You will guide and coordinate the efforts of the various departments, groups, and individuals who estimate portions of proposed, large and complex projects, ensuring that the total estimate is complete, rational and possesses sufficient detail. You will be the point-of-contact for all customer audits regarding proposals. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management including DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Analyze the solicitation to determine scope and requirements.
• Assist the Program / Contract Manager in the preparation of the Kickoff meeting and submission schedule corresponding to the solicitation.
• Research past similar projects or estimates for comparative analysis, as required.
• Request estimates from functional groups or generate estimate data. Clarify unusual requirements.
• Review and evaluate estimate input for adequacy, completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness. Follow-up on unacceptable input.
• Maintain organized and comprehensive proposal folders with all supporting proposal documentation.
• Prepare / develop / consolidate cost and pricing data in support of proposals submission including all associated analyses, schedules, and detailed spend plans.
• Collects, analyzes, and evaluates cost data on product lines to support pricing and bid strategy. During proposal review meetings, provide actual history analysis and similar contracts comparisons.
• Primary point-of-contact for customer audit questions regarding pricing proposals.
• Interface with DCAA, responsible for pre and post contract award audits.
• Develop and maintain procedures in the company's pricing manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent education & experience.
• 5-7 years of experience as a pricing analyst in a Manufacturing/Government Contracting environment.
• Estimating & pricing experience in a DoD environment including a strong understanding of FAR, DFAR, CAS, and GAAP, and experience dealing with DCAA.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient with MS Office suite of products, specifically MS Excel.
• Ability to read and comprehend RFPs, both sole source and competitive.
• Familiarity with work Breakdown Structures or functional cost elements.
• Energetic, Motivated, Organized, Creative - able to work in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED:

• Experience with ProPricer or similar COTS pricing toolset.
• Familiarity with Deltek Cost Point and Cognos reporting, and Hyperion Enterprise.
