Position Description :

Applications are requested for a postdoctoral researcher working in the area of superconducting devices with a focus on fabrication and measurement of magnetic Josephson junctions. The appointment will be in the Department of Physics at Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas in the group of Dr. Nathan Satchell.

The position is currently open with start date immediately available and a starting salary of $60,000 per year for 2 years with possible extension based on external funding and job performance.

Research will be carried out in state-of-the-art research facilities for thin film deposition, electrical transport measurements, and the cleanroom and analysis research service centers. Additional information about the shared facilities may be found here: https://sro.txst.edu/sro-about.html

This position is subject to the availability of funds.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics, materials science, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preference for candidates specializing in experimental research and with experience in material growth and characterization, clean room device fabrication, and electrical transport measurements. Prior work experience in either the field of superconductivity or magnetism.
