Policy and Government Librarian
George Mason University Libraries seeks an experienced, creative, dynamic, collaborative, and both teaching- and research-oriented Policy and Government Librarian to serve all of the Schar School of Policy and Government programs.

About the Position:
As a member of the Social Sciences Team & Mason Square Library, incumbent's duties include: collection development, instruction, reference, research consultations and support, outreach, and information management. The Policy and Government Librarian serves as the primary contact/liaison for the Schar School's undergraduate and graduate programs; collaborates with faculty and students to provide instructional, project, and program support and assistance; provides general and specialized reference and research support in person, via email and phone; and oversees the maintenance of in-house and electronic publications and research resources. Incumbent also serves as the Libraries' Government Documents Coordinator. Position reports to the Lead, Social Sciences Team & Mason Square Library.

Appointment/Benefits/Salary:
12-month Professional Faculty appointment; health plan options and paid life insurance; several retirement plans, including TIAA-CREF; 24 vacation days and 12 paid holidays; tuition waiver for self. Salary is commensurate with professional experience and academic qualifications. This is not a beginning professional-level position, and, as such, salary at appointment dependent on rank: Librarian II ($67,500 - $72,500); Librarian III ($72,500 - $77,500); Librarian IV ($77,500+).
