Responsibilities include the following:
Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Daytona Campus swimming pool, Welcome Center reflection pond and plumbing related equipment.
Maintenance in the pool building, ordering supplies, and maintaining pool water chemistry within acceptable sanitary conditions.
Maintains, repairs, and replaces plumbing fixtures, water heating systems, drainage and potable water distribution systems, lift stations and back flow prevention devices at all University locations.
Preventative Maintenance and work orders as assigned.
Bathroom remodel and compressed air distribution.
Responsible for boilers, closed water systems in all complexes and for the safe handling of related chemicals.
Responsible for the efficient use of plumbing, water saving devices according to manufacturer's schematics and blueprints.
Maintains plumbing water softener H2O analysis.
High school (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, basic composition, and math
Read and comprehend instructions, write information, and complete simple forms.
Required skills, knowledge and abilities:
Must have at least three (3) year's experience in maintenance or building construction field, and/or Journeyman Plumber license.
Must be able to read blue prints, make calculations and keep records.
Basic mechanical skills in use of hand and power tools.
