Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Insulated Panel Group is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Plant Support Supervisor. The successful candidate for this position will be a hands-on, self-motivated individual with an ability to lead safety, quality, continuous improvement, and managing cost in a metal manufacturing environment. Will not be satisfied with the status quo and will constantly be looking to make improvements within operations.

• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.
• Safely lead and direct daily production operations in executing Nucor mission statement and NIPG key objectives and strategic priorities.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver quality manufactured products in a timely fashion.
• Liaison with Shared Services, Managers, and other plant facilities to meet job demand and requirements.
• Collect, analyze data, and create reports to continuously improve performance.
• Provide leadership in people development activities, including hiring and retention, training, developing, coaching, and enforcement of NIPG's policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Studies or relevant experience that demonstrate business acumen competence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading a diversified team of people in a continuous production line.
• Experience in Polyurethane and/or Polyisocyanurate processing
• Knowledge of roll forming process, equipment, and technology
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with an advance knowledge in Excel and ERP systems
• Ability to exercise continuous and never-ending improvement.
• Experience working independently to troubleshoot, diagnose & solve issues with process and plant equipment; and to develop and rapidly implement corrective actions.
• Coaching and mentoring experience.
