Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a part-time Pipeline Technical Professional to join the team in Houston.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship is required.

The Pipeline Technical Professional contributes to the delivery of pipeline engineering excellence through:

  • Definition and approval of technical scopes.
  • Executing assigned scopes of work.
  • Providing technical expertise to the business
  • May act as a technical specialist
  • Performs complex assignments often requiring development of new or improved processes or techniques.
  • Assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering designs, products, and equipment.
  • Uses advanced technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems and to complete any project tasks with minimal guidance and direction.
  • May serve as the project Technical Authority on projects and hold advanced level specialization in one or more areas of expertise.
  • Functions as a technical specialist who develops applications, hypothesis, approaches and applies advanced engineering concepts to unique engineering problems
  • Provides technical reviews for complex project within the area of expertise. May have authority for providing technical direction and guidance.


Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

ISCED Level 6 Bachelors (preferred) Degree in engineering discipline, alternatively, tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can be used to demonstrate equivalence

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Typically requires more than 10 years progressively more responsible pertinent experience; multi-discipline knowledge as well as quality management standards and practices required.

Role-Specific Skills and Knowledge:

Technically competent in own discipline

Professional level of knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation required
