Position Summary:

Assists the pharmacy technicians in the formulation, preparation, dispensing, delivery and storage of medications and pharmaceutical supplies under direct supervision of a Pharmacist. Records and maintains records on various medications and pharmaceutical preparations. Communicates with pharmacists and nurses about medication preparation and delivery when necessary and appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High School level of educational development

Work Experience:

Six months of previous experience preferred

Licensure/Certification:

Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy. Successful examination through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required.
