As an Intern, you will gain insight into the Western Union administrative process and developing your skills on an administrative and communications level. You will Develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges, get the opportunity to Work with Payment Engineer mentors and peers (geographically distributed development centers) in projects and proof of concept work with a focus on supporting the Payments transformation group. This is a rare opportunity for someone with no previous office experience to create and support AWS infrastructure across the WU Enterprise's AWS Payment platform.
While you may not have professional work experience, we are looking for you to bring the following general skills to the table:
Energetic, with a passion for using creative ideas to grow our payment platform.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in at least one high level programming language like Java, Python, C++.
Basic knowledge about HTTP, XML, JSON, JavaScript, Unit testing and Mocking frameworks.
Basic knowledge about SOAP, REST APIs and developer portal
Basic knowledge about Angular / React UI technologies
Basic knowledge with Cloud computing technologies, and techniques. Cloud computing experience is preferred, but not required.
Ideally pursuing a degree in Engineering - Computer Science, Software Development, Coding, Programming, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field.
