Job Summary

Perform molecular biology experiments. Duties include following and creating lab protocols, performing experiments in molecular biology, which include expression and purification of proteins in culture, manipulating cells in culture, and western blotting. Maintain transgenic mouse colonies. Must be willing to learn animal handling and breeding, animal manipulations and assessments (mouse). This would include PCR of mouse tails for genotyping, and maintain colony records, harvesting tissues for histological analysis. Perform general lab maintenance and upkeep. Provide study management, database and lab organization.

Required Qualifications

BA or BS degree in science.

Skills in molecular biology and transgenic mice methods.
