PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR/LECTURER
OPEN ADJUNCT SEARCH IN KINESIOLOGY AND COMMUNITY HEALTH
Description
The Department of Kinesiology and Community Health is accepting applications for a pool of Adjunct Lecturers and Instructors who may be called on to teach and/or develop courses online and/or in-person in the following curricular areas:
• Public Health
• Health administration
• Sports Medicine
• Sport & Society
The courses will be taught to undergraduate and graduate students from health majors, as well as, other fields. This is a part-time, as needed-basis, non-tenure track position.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is required, and Master and Doctoral degree are preferred. Bachelor's degree may be sufficient with demonstrated specialization in specified areas and/or other exceptional circumstances. For Adjunct Lecturer consideration, candidates must have a terminal PhD degree, while Adjunct Instructors must hold a Master's and/or Bachelor's. Successful candidates should have these degrees in relevant health fields of Kinesiology, Community Health, Public Health, Health Administration, Epidemiology, or related fields. Candidates with a strong teaching background are encouraged to apply.

The Department of Kinesiology & Community Health (KCH) hosts a diverse group of faculty, students, and staff (https://ahs.illinois.edu/kch-directory) working and learning in a collegial and collaborative environment. KCH offers BS degrees in Community Health, Interdisciplinary Health, and Kinesiology; MS and PhD degrees in Community Health and Kinesiology; an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling; a nationally accredited MPH program; a nationally accredited MSHA (health administration) program; and a new MSHT (health technology) program. Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and course load taught. Compensation typically ranges between $4,000 - $6,000 per course.
