IU Event Services, a department of IU Auditorium, is Bloomington's leading provider of guest services staffing. Job Summary

The Guest Service staff position in responsible for:

  • Greeting and directing guests at events.
  • Creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for patrons.
  • Scanning tickets and ushering fans in at major IU events, including IU Football games, IU Basketball games, Little 500 races, and IU Commencement ceremonies.
  • Assisting patrons with accessibility issues.
  • Overseeing crowd management.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required
  • General knowledge at the high school level.
WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred
  • Prior sales or customer service positions.
SKILLS
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Working Conditions / Demands

Ability to move through a multi-level facility. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to ten pounds.

Advertised Salary

$10.15 per hour and $10.40 per hour based on event type. Additional supervisor and manager positions available after experience.

Work Hours

Shift times vary. Up to 29 hours per week.
