The Title:

HPP Department Support II

The Role:
HPP team members are responsible foreffectively working with their teamand followingdaily work instructions. The HPP and Packaging Department is responsible for High Pressure Processing and packing products for our restaurants and for grocery stores. You will assist in overseeing set upof the HPP equipment, packaging lines, feed production equipment, placing packaged products in bins, andparticipatein the end-of-shift sanitation and cleaning activities.You will follow company recipes and procedures to ensure production consistency.You will follow quality and safety standards.You will also coordinate with team members and departments to ensuretimelyand efficient production.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate processing equipment to ensure customer products follow the proper process.
  • Enter recipe into the system panel, ensure items match the product on the production floor, monitor production quality control, and identify damaged products Develop an order schedule;
  • create and direct the work per customer instructions Ensure the proper receipt, storage, handling, and/or distribution of safe and quality food products are at the site Input accurate product documentation into the computer system
  • Assist with onboarding of new customers by testing the high-pressure processing system with their product to obtain correct specifications and report any damages to the supervisor Transfer product from staging areas to the high-pressure processing system department via forklift
  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as 34 degrees in cold storage sites or up to 78 -100 degrees in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
  • Must be comfortable with various noise levels throughout the plant.
The Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years food processing/packaging experience
  • You must be able to begin work between 6:30am and 7am Monday Through Thursday and you must be able to work up to 11 hours per day.
    • We target 4 days and40 hours.
  • You mustdemonstrateproper clock management andmaintaina strongattendance.
  • You must beable to read and follow packaging instructions and procedures to ensure the batches are made correctly.
  • You mustmaintainclose concentration and visual attention to assigned tasks.
  • You must be willing and able to follow instructions.
  • You must have good verbal communication skills.
  • You must have some familiarity with smart phones, tablets, and email
Physical Requirements:

  • Physical dexterity, ability to lift up to 45lbsand push/pull rolling bowls, carts, and containers with up to 550 lbs of product.
  • The ability to work in varied environmental conditions (dry, cold)
  • The ability to stand and work on feet for 8 to 10 hours at a time
  • Must be able to identify, assess and observe detail
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively.
  • Ability to squat, kneel, bend and twist
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Allergens: We prepare products with milk and sesame containing ingredients. Team members must be able to work with these ingredients.
