Reporting to the People and Culture Manager for CA (Los Angeles, San Diego, and Sacramento) you will be responsible for:

  • Create an extraordinary employee experience for our CA team members by serving as a trusted business partner to ensure HR strategies are aligned to support the business strategies and objectives
  • Establish thorough understanding of the business, build and expand relationships with client leadership teams, and create close partnerships across P&C, and Centers of Excellence (COEs)
  • Build strong relationships with clients to develop a deep understanding of the business and increase awareness and understanding of the employee experience
  • Have a strong passion and grasp of employee engagement within the CA offices
  • Bring forth to the COEs the voice of the San Diego and/or Sacramento team members and partner with the COEs to bring solutions
  • Provide end-to-end onboarding and offboarding support to include facilitating New Employee Orientation and conducting exit interviews
  • Assist P&C Manager and Talent Acquisition and to drive and implement the recruiting strategy in the business; participate in interviews; identify interviewing team in SD and Sacramento offices
  • Assist P&C Manager and Talent Management COE on various programs and initiatives and implement for the CA office team members
  • Assist P&C Manager along with Resource Management on all areas of workforce planning for SD and Sacramento
  • Assist with administering our compensation program, under guidance from the Total Rewards COE, obtaining appropriate review and approvals, while meeting firm deadlines for SD and Sacramento, under guidance of P&C Manager
  • Lead and coordinate the annual performance review cycle, and all areas related to performance management for the SD and Sacramento office, with assistance to the LA offices as needed, under the guidance of the P&C Manager.
  • The People & Culture Specialist will provide coaching and guidance regarding HR in areas such as policy and procedure while developing trusting relationships with leadership and employees within their assigned client groups
  • Provide input on local wellbeing initiatives and help to coordinate local activities
  • Active participant and leader for office specific employee appreciation, employee morale, engagement, and firm initiatives
  • Involvement in day to day employee relations items, escalating complex items when appropriate to P&C Manager
  • Contribute to projects and process improvements as needed for the CA offices
  • General P&C team administrative support including assistance with reporting, large orientation classes, department-wide meeting support, developing organizational charts, policy compliance, and other general P&C support.
You will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field required, PHR/SHRM-CP highly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience with progressive experience; professional services industry experience preferred;
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with leadership and employees
  • Ability to effectively manage change, being flexible and adaptable as required by the business
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient MS Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability handle and document sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business acumen or ability to quickly acquire business knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills to identify business trends and drive initiatives.
Preferred qualifications:
  • HRCI PHR or SHRM-CP designation
  • HR experience in professional services industry, public accounting
  • Excel, UKGPro, Oleeo, Cornerstone, and RedCarpet systems experience
  • Experience in Adaptive budgeting software
