Earn $20.91/hour.

Position Details

Partner with Philadelphia Police Department and Septa Transit Police. Influences clients in in the community as a part of the mobile team. Always maintain situational awareness and use de-escalation strategies to maintain a calm and welcoming environment, conducting individual interventions as needed. Assist clients with building social skills in the community that will enhance quality of life. Assist clients in developing empowerment skills through education and self-advocacy. Offer a non-judgmental forum for listening and providing empathy for the struggles of consumers. Outreach to, engagement of, and relationship build with homeless participants with behavioral health needs. Provide de-escalation and crisis intervention services as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with at least two years behavioral health experience and experience working with the homeless or those with substance use disorders.

• Peer Specialist Certification Preferred.

• Should have the ability to work in a team setting.

• Must possess computer skills to perform job duties including but not limited to desktop computing, email, time sheet management, and electronic health records, using Microsoft Office and Google Applications, and other relevant software.

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

• Must have knowledge and an understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system.

• Ability to establish professional relationships with peers.
