Job Overview

Lindner Center of HOPE is a nationally renowned psychiatric center of excellence located in Mason, Ohio, committed to providing state of the art care to patients at all levels of care. We continue to expand our services and are looking for an Outpatient Therapist (Clinical Counselor or Licensed Independent Social Worker) to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work with other very talented psychiatrists and health care professionals in a variety of psychiatric specialties. LCOH is part of the UC Health network, and also has affiliations with Cincinnati Children's Hospital and the Mayo Clinic.

The Psychologist will conduct psychosocial assessments; provide individual, group and/or family therapy. They will work with Lindner Center of HOPE, psychologists, advanced practice nurses and psychiatrists to meet the needs of patients and their families. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions
  • Perform psychosocial assessments for patients and/or families.
  • Formulate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate Lindner Center of HOPE social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists and other treatment team members.
  • Maintain knowledge of external resources for patient needs.
  • Patient care documentation is timely, legible, and efficient. Documentation is concise, pertinent and meets the professions and departments documentation standards. Oral reporting is clear, concise, relevant, and timely. Perform all required documentation accurately and within expected time.
  • Liaison with community agencies; participate in area activities related to mental health.
  • Maintain current licensure and participate in continuing education to maintain competency in area of practice.
  • Participates in departmental and LCOH quality improvement efforts and peer review standards are met.
  • Participates in community education and outreach.
Required Education

Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution (PhD or PsyD).

Required Trainings/Certifications

Licensed Psychologist in the State of Ohio.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • At least 5 years' experience working as a therapist in an outpatient setting is ideal.
  • Must have and maintain age specific competencies to work with patient population served.
  • Knowledge of Assessment and Counseling practices and principles.
  • Experience with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is ideal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and work with others to insure the best clinical outcome for patients and families.
