What we need:

Mohawk is looking for someone who will be responsible for obtaining product that is scheduled for shipment. This includes operating lift truck equipment, operating barcode scanner devices, and physically loading trailers.

What you'll do:

• Operate lift truck.
• Lift or move product.
• Load and unload elevated bins.
• Manually handling stacks of cardboard or plastic
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

What you have:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to become certified on all types of lift equipment (fork, pole, order picker). Ability to operate on-board RF equipment and have a basic understanding of the AS-400 system.
• Ability to communicate in standard English to understand and follow verbal or written instructions and to keep simple records and make reports.
• Ability to work well with people.
• Ability to maintain an acceptable level of attendance in accordance with company and department guidelines.
• Ability to perform specific duties with instructions but without direct supervision.
• Reads, write and speak in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.

What else:

• Ability to lift 75 pounds with assistance.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel object, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop. Must be able stand, reach, bend, push, up and down stairs and twist without restriction.
• Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
• Work environment is a noisy, high traffic production floor.
• May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
