TITLE: OPS Staff Assistant
HIRING SALARY: $15.00 Per Hour
HOURS: Up to 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday
LOCATION: TCC Main Campus
MAJOR FUNCTIONS: The OPS Staff Assistant supports the Coordinator of Student Life and Leadership by aiding in the administration and execution of programs that enhance student engagement and leadership. This includes logistical support for student leader programs such as the Student Government Association, Clubs and Organizations, Peer Leader Program, and Student Volunteer Program.
The assistant is involved in planning and overseeing student activity events, requiring occasional weekend work and travel. They assist with the department's marketing efforts, maintaining the Student Life website and calendar, and managing social media content and other digital communications. Additionally, the assistant ensures compliance with college policies during events and handles the posting and management of marketing materials on campus.
MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: Requires at least a High School Diploma or GED with appropriate experience.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING: Knowledgeable about vulnerable populations and the systems affecting them, the candidate should be adept in active listening and demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and the capacity to handle confidential information are essential. The role requires a working knowledge of the Windows operating system, MS Office, and other related desktop applications. The candidate must possess robust written and verbal communication abilities and be able to undertake complex and time-sensitive tasks. Must be able to work independently.
