Our Data Centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates to deliver our innovative services. Facebook is seeking a self-motivated Operations Program Manager (OPM) to join our Infrastructure Data Center (IDC) Business Operations Program Management team (BOPM) and work closely with our partners on the SIte Operations (SiteOps) team. SiteOps' mission is to deliver and support Facebook's data center storage and compute capacity, e.g. server racks, that support the global community and growing family of apps and services.This OPM will focus their support on the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of business processes to support all aspects of the SiteOps organization, starting with developing strategies for team communications, knowledge management, and document revision control. The scope of this role will expand to include development of the BOPM strategy for supporting the entire SiteOps organization, including driving alignment with SiteOps leadership and coordination of multiple BOPM team members' support.Success in this role demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a tendency for action. The selected candidate will be able to quickly build relationships, assess process and stakeholder pain points, and deliver robust and efficient solutions that scale across a diverse, global, and highly cross-functional organization. Facebook's infrastructure is constantly redefining what is possible, and we need an experienced Program Manager who will help us do the same.
  • Drive excellence in the SiteOps organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business.
  • Utilize your project management and communication skills to define scope requirements, analyze data, and develop strategic recommendations for program and operational execution.
  • Develop and report metrics to measure the team's quality and productivity and provide meaningful feedback to deliver positive business and internal partnership outcomes.
  • Continually refine the SiteOps best practices for cross-functional program management consistent with Facebook, Infra, and Infra Data Center's environment.
  • Act as business liaison between SiteOps and other IDC teams.
  • Drive progress with minimal oversight or escalation across a global team.
  • Facilitate and manage the internal team and leadership meetings.
  • Help build relationships, gain consensus, remove tension/roadblocks while focusing on solutions.
  • Become an expert in Facebook's site operations infrastructure, tools, systems, and data.
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Communications, Management, Operations, Information Technology or related field.
  • 10+ years experience in a quantitative field in a consulting, strategic planning, business operations, or business analytics role.
  • 5+ years experience in program management with a demonstrated track record of leadership in execution of large-scale programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in quickly adapting, learning new skill sets and technologies, and creating a solid understanding of operational challenges.
  • Experience in influencing strategy and effective communication with leadership.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across stakeholders.
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, and solving problems with limited oversight.
  • Proven background and interest in process improvement and gap analysis.
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Program Management, Agile, or Six Sigma certification(s).
  • Data center or critical facility/operations experience.
  • Strong track record in change management and implementing global programs.
  • 5+ years experience in program management, strategic planning, or data analytics with a demonstrated track record of leadership in execution of large-scale programs.
  • Technical and data skills such as Excel and SQL and/or experience with visualization tools such as Tableau to drive efficient analytics and reporting.
  • Data center or other infrastructure related experience.
