Your Role

As a senior member of the Service Delivery team, you are accountable for the design and continual delivery of a suite of processes that will ensure highly professional candidate experience from the offer management stage, through the referencing, compliance and onboarding processes and, in the case of Contingent Workers, across the Worker engagement lifecycle to ensure Hays and clients mitigate risk and adhere to contractual SLAs. Integral to this is to act as the process owner for all Independent Contractor compliance engagements across the range of Hays Talent Solutions Client Accounts in the Americas.

Key deliverables

Build lasting relationships:
  • To liaise in a professional manner with clients and all internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for managing and developing a team known for providing a high level of customer service to all candidates to optimise the candidate experience and both Hays and our clients' reputation

Be the compliance expert:
  • You are the single point of contact and owner of our Independent Contractor Validation process; accountable for it's execution across all relevant accounts, as well as keeping this process up to date in line with legislation changes.
  • Ensure your team are equipped to complete referencing as per contract requirements and any credit and criminal records checks.
  • Responsible for delivery of continuous improvement and innovation to drive both efficiencies and enhanced candidate experience throughout the cycle across all Americas client accounts
  • Overall accountability for ensuring that all compliance for candidates is managed in a timely manner according to specific client deadlines.

Deliver an efficient and compliant process:
  • Accountable for all processes related to the compliance, onboarding and candidate care elements of our services across the Americas
  • Responsible for ensuring that the correct information is input onto systems to initiate referencing.
  • Accountable for inbound and outbound contract paperwork
  • Responsible for ensuring that all parties are kept up to date throughout the compliance process and ensuring all tasks managed through to completion

Optimise Systems and Business Intelligence:
  • Responsible, through your operational team, for keeping systems and technology up to date
  • Run tracking reports and chase any gaps where appropriate

Support and develop teams:
  • Develop and maintain a high-performance culture aligned with the Hays values
  • Lead by example
  • Demonstrate support of corporate initiatives
  • Ensure the workplace is professional and productive, free of discrimination, harassment and bullying and provides equal opportunities for all employees
  • Ensure all employees act in a professional manner at all times
  • Effectively induct, train and coach all new employees utilising all available training resources
  • Manage individual and team performance effectively by clearly communicating expectations and regularly monitoring business plans and KPI's
  • Conduct regular desk reviews with each team member, identifying areas for development and providing necessary coaching to address any issues
  • Provide regular performance feedback and coaching
  • Assist Manager in conducting effective and timely performance appraisals (where appropriate)
  • Conduct regular team meetings
  • Escalate grievances or performance management issues to Manager immediately

Knowledge & Skills

Whilst ability, motivation and attitude are most important, it would be a distinct advantage to have:
