Description
The State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an Office Technician for the Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care. This position is a critical part of the Medicaid NFOCUS claims unit and billing team.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8a-5p
Examples of Work
As an Office Technician, you will be a part of the Medicaid NFOCUS Claims team. Duties include general office support work, as well as:
• Greeting incoming clients and answering phones
• Entering, retrieving, and researching information and data into DHHS's OnBase System and NFOCUS for claims processing and adjudication
• Answer inquiries from providers or individuals regarding payment status through the NFOCUS system and the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system
• Filing, sorting, and opening mail
• Review NFOCUS Billing Documents for completeness and accuracy and ensure documentation meets agency requirements completing forms; return documents with missing or incorrect information to the original
• Scheduling meetings using Outlook
• Educate providers on the complete billing process and on-going assistance to answer questions regarding billings and payments
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.

PREFERRED: Experience with working in a human services setting. At least one year of customer service experience, experience with Enterprise One, NFOCUS, OnBase, and Microsoft Excel, word; Internal and external customer service experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to perform repetitive work in a high-volume, fast paced work environment.

Knowledge of: Basic computer skills are needed.

Skill in: listening to and understanding information and/or instructions received to perform assigned tasks; entering data into spreadsheets or data bases. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred, general office practices and procedures; computer office applications, systems, and programs; maintain records and files; scanning, multi-function copy machines, telephones and other office equipment; perform repetitive task in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication; English grammar and usage; understand human services, practices, and procedures; accommodate new methods; maintain confidentiality; sharp attention to detail; proofreading skills; accurate keyboarding skills; and predictable and reliable attendance.
