SUMMARY
Coordinates and follows up on activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures safety compliance measures are followed.
- Oversees all safety programs and audits
- Promotes a strong safety culture
- Establishes safety incentive guidelines
- Ensures operational and organization objective are met by providing training sessions for existing and new hire employees on company programs.
- Trains employees in such programs as: "how to properly lift"; loading/unloading an aircraft; transporting freight, mail and other cargo to/from an aircraft.
- Trains employees in various safety programs and safety conscious behavior in all operational processes and procedures.
- Schedules/Coordinates new hire, recurrent, or other training sessions to meet operational needs.
- Works with management to ensure employees are proficient in the maintenance and use of ground support equipment.
- Tracks all training certifications on a Master Training List and updates accordingly.
- Ensures employee crews are trained in all carrier-specific training requirements.
- Completes incident/accident reports, and other reports as required.
- Ensures the Station has all the required Manuals (PIMs, S&H, etc.) and that the contents is current.
- Ensures all training activities and materials meet with relevant organizational and statutory policies of TAS and its' customers.
- Attends company and carrier meetings as requested.
- Adheres to all company practices and procedures.
- Maintains all employee training files and monitors certifications for expiration/renewal requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED; and over one year up to and including three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
- MS Outlook Communication Management software
- MS Excel Spreadsheet software
- MS Word Word Processing software
- MS PowerPoint Presentation Software
- Internet Usage and PC and/or MAC and Windows Usage experience
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS
- Valid State Driver's License
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of the State Labor Code and OSHA requirements
- Data entry skills and presentation skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- May occasionally be asked to run local errands.
- Security Clearance, (for airport security purposes) pass a 10-year background screening.
