We are looking for a News Writer to write daily content focused on site traffic patterns and timely news and across verticals (beauty, lifestyle, food, health, fitness, etc.) This contract position will be 15 - 25 hours a week, with daily story submission quotas.

You'll Report To: Deputy Editor, Editorial - Well+Good

A typical day as a News Writer for Well+Good might include:

    • Contribute pitches across verticals daily; pitches should be timely and data-informed
    • Report and write 2 - 3 pieces of content daily for different editors, prioritizing based on deadlines and site priorities, as defined by the Deputy Editor
    • Use site analytics to concept new pitches based on traffic patterns



What You Have:
    • 1 - 2 years editorial experience
    • Strong writing skills and ability to prioritize
    • Great interviewing skills
    • Experience with Google Analytics, , and other analytics tools a plus
    • An interest in wellness topics across verticals and beats
    • Knowledge of SEO best practices
    • A passion for high-quality digital content
    • Excellent verbal and written communication



You'll be successful if you are passionate about outstanding content, great ideas, and with a knack for clean, quick writing. This is a fast-paced position, and will require you to work with the Senior Growth Editor and vertical editors to prioritize stories based on traffic priorities.
