ECS is seeking a Service Desk Technician to work in our office in Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and installing computer networks connections and cabling.
  • Troubleshooting system failures and identifying roadblocks in the network.
  • Fixing problems in LAN infrastructure and testing and configuring software
  • Evaluating network performance to improve the network
  • Scheduling upgrades and maintenance without interrupting business workflow.
  • Providing technical direction and giving training to coworkers about network systems
  • Working with vendors to get needed equipment for the networks and systems.

Required Skills:
  • US citizen and must have an active Dept. of Energy Q Clearance.
  • Associate degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with network and system efficiency to implement network solutions.
  • Understanding of how to install and configure network equipment
  • Ability to communicate with people with various levels of technical knowledge
  • Diagnostic and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot problems and find solutions.
  • Proficiency in computers, software and database systems

Desired Skills:
  • Strong understanding of virtualization, Access Points, WAN, VPN, LAN, Wireless and Information Technology, cable installation and field service Switch configuration.
  • Deployment in racking and stacking of switch's and port activation.


*This position is under SCA (Service Contract Act).
