Job you will do

Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as a National Tax Associate might include the following:

  • Gather an understanding and working knowledge of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
  • Gather relevant ACA-related information from the client so accurate ACA forms can be prepared.
  • Work in Microsoft Excel to sort, sum and format client data for upload into our ACA software.
  • Prepare ACA forms through a paperless office environment.
  • Attend professional development and training seminars on a regular basis.
  • Review high-level ACA information returns.
  • Work with the Health Care Reform (HCR) team to ensure the various components of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance work are performed - including research, client interaction and performing special tax projects.
Who You Are                    
  • You have an Associate's degree or a Bachelor's degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) or related work experience.
  • You are savvy in Microsoft Excel, intermediate or advanced experience required.
  • You are able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • You are able to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
  • You are able to work increased hours during busy season (November-March).
  • You are able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
  • Experience with payroll and bookkeeping a plus.
  • Knowledge of national tax issues and the Affordable Care Act a plus. Training on the Affordable Care Act will be provided.
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
