The National Manager, JDRF Ride is responsible for supporting the Ride to Cure Diabetes program as part of the national Ride team. Reporting to the National Director, Ride the National Manager will be responsible for the operational management of the program, providing support to chapters, support the strategic vision and implementation of key initiatives, and ensure Ride weekend experiences deliver on expectation. The National Manager will lead the work to recruit, retain, and support Ride Coaches including leading the Coach volunteer committees. They will Integrate current program strategies for existing campaigns and develop new practices and plans where necessary. Additionally, will assist with the creation of campaign plans, timelines, materials, and support activity for revenue growth while establishing relationships with chapter staff, leadership and volunteers for program growth.

In partnership with the National Director this person will work with regional teams and cross-functional staff to identify benchmarks and standards of excellence in all aspects of the JDRF Ride planning, fundraising and operations. They will provide ideas, resolution, strategy, and direction for assessing Ride venue logistics, capacities, and recommendations for revenue growth plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under the leadership of the National Director assist in driving the stated business and financial objective for the Ride program, including efficient and timely execution of logistics and revenue target achievement.
  • Partner with assigned chapter and regional leadership to drive and deliver greater revenue and stronger relationships. This includes planning, coaching, partnering and stewardship.
  • In partnership with the National Director and in collaboration with P2P program and Data and Technology teams, fulfill reporting and tools as needed by program, regional and chapter staff to effectively monitor and manage program's financial, acquisition and retention goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the coordination of Ride Weekend logistics, including onsite set-up of weekend logistics plans.
  • Collaborate with Chapter Staff to achieve revenue goals, facilitating trainings, peer forums and 1:1 consultation as required.
  • Lead the organization, recruitment and facilitation of the Ride Coach program, including securing volunteer leadership, planning, leading meetings, and communication activities.
  • Determine communication and execute stated revenue collection processes to ensure fundraising minimums are met.

Qualifications
  • 5 years of relevant fundraising experience, particularly in peer-to-peer events. Strong knowledge of cycling events.
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow both participation and revenue results in event fundraising programs.
  • 3 years working with and collaborating with high level volunteers and event participants.
  • Strong management, leadership, decision-making and team-building skills.
  • Direct experience in managing and growing P2P Programs.
  • Familiarity with technology to support the development process, including online giving and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms. Experience with Blackbaud/Luminate Online system a plus.
  • 3 years of broad-based fundraising knowledge, event planning, experience and skill in non-profit management with emphasis on revenue generation, relationship maximization and stewardship, logistics, financial management, and organizations with Chapter and/or Regional structures.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated competency when handling diversified assignments.
  • Team player with the ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers in a proactive, positive, and supportive manner.
  • Capability to leverage relationships, both externally and internally.
  • Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
  • Ability for effective presentation delivery, conveying ideas, influencing action and instructing effectively.
  • Superior active listening, observation, analytical, and problem recognition and solving skills.
  • Ability to work and make judgments independently and take initiative.
  • Perform all other responsibilities and projects as assigned by their immediate supervisor and senior management.
  • Willingness to learn while striving for excellence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ensure that the confidentiality and security of all information under their supervision is maintained.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, as per the needs of the program. Majority of travel is concentrated around ride events occurring August - November.

Target Salary - $65k - $85K

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
