Are you our next North American Shared Services (NASS) Senior Accountant?

This role is eligible for a hybrid remote - office schedule

As the Senior Accountant you will be partnering with Mosaic Human Resources to obtain data and determine the appropriate journal entries to be recorded for various compensation and benefits related liabilities such as incentive compensation, 401k, group insurance, worker's compensation and profit sharing. As you master the compensation area, you will rotate through the other North American Shared Services (NASS) Accounting areas to grow your career and knowledge of Mosaic's business and the impact you can make. What will you do?

• Responsible for the overall accounting and reconciliation of employee compensation, group insurance, worker's compensation and other long-term liabilities.
  
• Review and evaluate Compensation and Payroll confidential financial data provided by various internal and external teams; partner with HR (Payroll, Benefits and Compensation), Financial Operations and third parties as needed.
  
• Monthly preparation and reporting of various compensation accounts including net pay, taxes and garnishment.
  
• Support of other North American Shared Services (NASS) Accounting areas as required including Fixed Assets, Commercial Revenue, Inventory and Supply Chain
  

What do you need for this role?

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business with emphasis in accounting and/or finance is required.
  
• 5+ years' experience in general accounting duties including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  
• Demonstrated understanding of GAAP and internal controls and the ability to apply these principles in practice.
  
• Demonstrated understanding of compensation accounting.
  
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with advanced Excel skills is required.
  
• Willingness to collaboratively challenge the business and create innovative solutions.
  
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Highly motivated and self-directed.
