Primary Function of Position:

The Portfolio Project Manager will track & support the manufacturing transfer project portfolio, including maintaining status dashboards on the overall portfolio and working collaboratively with Project Managers to help remove obstacles, obtain project updates, and coordinate presentations at monthly leadership forums. The ability to communicate and disseminate information to a wide audience is key to success.
 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Project Managers to understand their project plans and update status on the overall global project portfolio, maintain accurate high level schedules within the portfolio
  • Support individual project managers to help remove obstacles affecting the overall portfolio health, problem solve across different functions
  • Succinctly monitor and report status of assigned portfolio
  • Maintain global portfolio dashboards
  • Utilizing existing and implement new tools and processes to enable efficiency to execute and manage projects
  • Proactively organize efforts to alleviate business process gaps and support timely execution of portfolio projects
  • Function as the primary point of contact for key leaders and stakeholders across the organization for the MSRB portfolio
  • Build strong communication channels to deliver accurate and up-to-date information and escalations to stakeholders at all levels
  • Support/lead portfolio meetings including taking minutes and tracking action items
  • Continuously improve portfolio detail for enhanced project tracking to streamline manufacturing transfer project tracking going forward

 

     

    Requirements:

    • Minimum Bachelors degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant field with minimum of 2 years of related work experience; or equivalent work experience.
    • Strong computer skills required.
    • Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet highly desired.
    • Understanding of key project metrics. Experience building and/or maintaining dashboards a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn.
    • Extremely strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
    • Demonstrated experience with leading and managing projects. Formal project management training a plus.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships.
    • Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Self-starter, ability to work independently.
    • Experience in regulated industry a plus.
